CERTIFIED CAREGIVER TRAINING
62 REQUIRED HOURS OF TRAINING
12 hours are skills lab training at an assisted living home
20 hours are completed by distance learning/homework
30 hours must be completed in the classroom which includes live lectures and computer based self-study.
You are given 14 days and 45 days maximum to complete the entire program. You must show activity at least 3 times a week to be considered as an active student to avoid suspension.
The pre-enrollment includes a valid form of ID, a copy of your Social Security card, and an Arizona food handler’s card. If you do not have a food handler's card you will have to obtain before class ends.
Students create their own schedules within our hours of operation and within the minimum and maximum time of enrollment. We provide lectures and tutoring sessions for caregivers throughout the week. If you are unable to attend a scheduled lecture, you may schedule a one-on-one tutoring session with your instructor.
The Friday before the state exams are mandatory review days to better prepare you for the State Exam. All other days are left for students to work on their assignments on our computers and to take many practice exams in preparation for their state exam.
